HiFix Receiver Installations
InstallationsThe views below show a HiFix receiver installed in a Land Rover, as used for mobile survey work.
In this view, at the top is a Pye SSB125 HF SSB transceiver, below that the HIFIX power distribution unit, and below that the receiver. You can clearly see the three 5-digit displays, left to right these are pattern 1, pattern 2, and APC.
Here is a slightly different installation, with two HIFIX receivers (main and standby). The lower receiver is sitting on a Blower Unit (BU).
